MECHATRONICS SCHOLARSHIP

The Advanced Resource Center for Innovation and Education (ARC) in Warroad, MN, is pleased to announce a $2,500 scholarship available to area high school seniors intending to enroll in the Mechatronics A.A.S. program at Northland Community and Technical College at the Warroad Campus for the upcoming school year.

The Mechatronics, A.A.S (Associate of Applied Science) is a 60-credit program that provides students with the knowledge, skills, and competency to work with mechanical systems, electronic systems, control systems and software. These areas of study are the heartbeat of automation and robots in advanced manufacturing. Graduates of this program are prepared for high-demand technician jobs in areas such as maintenance, engineering, process, and quality control. Classes are a blend of online materials, hands-on flex labs, and training on industrial equipment during a variety of daytime and evening hours all in Warroad.

You might enjoy studying Mechatronics if some of your favorite classes include industrial technology, computer technology, robotics; you enjoy tinkering, building, drawing, gaming, working on cars, programming; you enjoy learning in a hands-on environment, and you have a desire to learn and apply technical skills to a current or future job.

Who Is Eligible to Apply:

• Graduating high school & homeschool seniors from Lake of the Woods, Warroad, Grygla, Roseau, Badger, and Greenbush school districts

• Be enrolled, or plan to enroll, at Northland Community and Technical College, Warroad Campus

• Plan to complete a Mechatronics AAS degree

To Apply:

□ Complete the Advanced Resource Center (ARC) Scholarship application

□ Provide 1 or more letter of recommendation from a teacher or work supervisor

Applications are accepted through May 1st and can be turned into the high school main office or guidance counselor, dropped off at the Advanced Resource Center, or emailed to [email protected].
